I’m a principal software engineer with 20+ years of shipping software, most of it in C++ and Python.

What I’ve worked on

  • Backend architecture and microservices for high-throughput services
  • Image processing pipelines: from algorithm design to SIMD and GPU (OpenCL/CUDA) acceleration
  • Application and infrastructure monitoring, security event correlation
  • Leading the team that builds a penetration-testing platform

What I do outside work

I’m an astrophotographer, which is how AfterNight started: an open-source tool for calibrating, registering and stacking deep-sky images, written in C++.

I’m self-taught. Everything on this site was learned by building things, breaking them, and reading the assembly afterwards.

Get in touch

I’m open to conversations about senior/principal engineering roles, consulting on performance or image-processing work, and collaboration on AfterNight.
